The Crooked Pot is owned and operated by Melanie Corrigan

Melanie’s pottery journey began in a high-school ceramics class. During graduate school, she purchased an old kiln when a ceramics operation from her hometown (Seward, PA) went out of business, and she has been making and firing clay creations ever since. After decades of handbuilding, she took to wheel throwing. She operates The Crooked Pot out of an old-hayloft-turned-studio in Clarkston, Michigan.

The Crooked Pot sources Michigan-made stoneware clays from Runyan Pottery Supply, and uses a variety of studio-made and commercial glazes.
